LOW COST FLIGHT TO LONDON, UK

"FANTASTIC NEWS - FIRST TO FLY LOW COST TO UK FROM MALAYSIA (latest update Nov 2008)"

Air Asia X to launch £100 flights to KL to United Kingdom

Finally low-cost long-haul flights from Kuala Lumpur to London (Stansted) has come about and the first flight is going to take place on 11 March next year. It is planned to fly 5 times weekly from the Low Cost Carrier Terminal in Kuala Lumpur, the hub of low cost flying in Asia.

AirAsia X is flying from Stansted as part of plans to develop a network of budget flights serving China, India, Australia and the Middle East. The airline is owned by Fly Asian Express and will collaborate with AirAsia, the region's biggest low-cost carrier.

Malaysian aviation entrepreneur Tony Fernandes, who owns part of both airlines, said average ticket prices on long-haul routes would be about half the price of full service airlines.
